Lowertail gate not working 2 beeps

So this morning loading things into the boot, go to use the fob and also tried buttons the lower tailgate raises back up fully i then get two beeps and the upper part raises fully? Any ideas? Its like its not noticing the lower is back up

they have lost sync of where they are in close process. Close both by hand, open them via key fob button, when both open...hold the upper tailgate button in for about 5 seconds (until it beeps)....let off button. now push the top tail gate button again and top and bottom should close. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Nope still get the double beep when the lower rises. Then the upper part rises again

I had something similar today. But it was because I was trying it with the doors locked and closing the boot on the key. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
