red light action

I have a question: as the RR PHEV does not have auto hold, which is the best action at a red light: press brake while in D, activate park brake while in D and release brake pedal (and press the gas pedal on green, which disables park brake), or get into P? Or maybe N + brake? 2019 Vogue P400e

I just hold the footbrake, same as I would in any automatic...

If you are constantly taking the car out of Drive and into Neutral (or Park) then you are placing unnecessary wear on the gearbox. Even if you disable Start/Stop, the wear caused by shifting out of Drive is greater than the wear introduced by the automatic creep that is being held back by the footbrake in my opinion. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... That's what I do too... But I was thinking about using the park brake because of what it says in the manual:
When stationary, with the EPB applied and the transmission engaged in a forward or reverse gear, press the accelerator pedal to gradually release the EPB. The result is that the vehicle can be driven away smoothly. 2019 Vogue P400e

i think it was RRPhil that mentioned that when in drive and foot on brake the gearbox dis-engages the cogs [or something like that] so there's no strain on the mechanics.. ... - .- -.

I think the smooth auto-release of the park brake is useful on steep hills when the car will not necessarily be held using the gearbox's creep function. I live on a steepish hill and sometimes the car holds, sometimes it does not, it has a fear of commitment. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
