AA Insurance

I have just had a quote of £217 for full comp insurance with protected no claims from the AA website.

I can’t remember ever being insured with the AA. Does any one here have any experience of them? I did cancel my breakdown cover with them a couple of years ago when they kept putting my premium up by 20% year on year even though I had never used them...

Ive used them on & off for years. Never made a claim so can't comment on that side, never had any issues though.
I just cancelled my policy with them a few weeks back as they couldn't do the multi car cover I now need.
Cancellation was straight forward & hassle free.

For £200 I'd be with them in a heartbeat. I was paying £600

That seems a very good price, Jim. We've been with the AA for home and contents insurance for a while, thankfully haven't had to claim.

I'd bite their hand off. Current: FF Westminster money pit

We are currently with the AA for the FF. Current year was £189.89. I've used them for the FF and the SL. My only criteria is price as long as it's not Arthur Daily Insurance and I've never had to claim so far (touch wood) but they are often cheap and seem OK to deal with from a customer service point of view.

We are, however, very old and live in a sleepy Kent village so not exactly high risk. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

Direct Line were not too bad when I bought my FF & because we already have the buildings & contents insurance with them quite easy to deal with.

For some reason, A Plan who I had my much modified VW T5 with were not really interested.

As an aside, Direct Line are one of the few insurers that will cover us on the domestic side as we look after young people for Social Services (similar to fostering but called supported accommodation). 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

I tried to get a quote from Direct Line but they insisted that I had to have a tracker fitted. I pointed out that my car is 15 years old but they still insisted.
