2013 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 V8 Baltic Blue

Rear Entertainment Remote Control not working; any tips

Hello
was trying to turn on the Rear Entertainment Remote Control.
same as this one
the screen stays black
can't turn it on
took the battery of; charged it; it shows 4V, all good; but the device does not turn on
tried the reset pin just near the battery; did not change anything
any other ideas
