vent control stepper motor'

Hi all

I have problems with one of the stepper motor and I dismantle half a car to reach two of them in the centre dash.
One of them makes a sound like a drill when I push the control button.
With the motors out, how can I test them? They have three connections on the connector

Cheers

Take it apart, clean all the grease out, put new grease in, plug it back in the car and try it, sometimes you can get lucky and it will work again for a long time, if it's still making the noise it's best to replace it..

Good Luck Pete

Thanks for your answers.
To reach 2 of them I have to dismantle the dash top and lower and the centre console. I located 3 of them. 1 in the right footwel, 2 behind the centre buttons and the other? Do you know where it is?

I have mounted all and there is air to the windshield and to the foots but not to the face. What can be? Must I connect the car to Allcoms?

Sorry, I dont know the answers to your questions, I've only had problems with the one in the drivers footwell on mine.

The workshop manual (sorry forgot where I down loaded it) has a good description of how the HVAC works, it may help you. Pages 513 to 563.
