Afternoon all,
I had been looking at a late model L322 SC, but have decided to up the budget a bit and go for a L405 5.0SC.
If anyone is considering selling one at the moment, please do get in touch, ideally I am looking for:

Blue or Green exterior
Mileage below 50,000
1700w Meridian sound
Price up to £45,000
As late a model as possible, but happy to pay less for a nice earlier version.

I have searched the usual places, Auto Trader, Pistonheads, here and Facebook. There is a Green, 2014 model at Leama Cars in Knutsford for just under £40,000 and a blue 2015 model at Auto 100 for just under £42,000, but I am nervous about buying from a non-approved dealer.

Does anyone know anyone selling a good one or have any wise words for me, either on the two cars I have mentioned above or where I might find a decent one?

I have looked at the approved site thanks Stan and there are a couple on there, but they are mostly black and a little over the top of my budget, so was hoping maybe a forum member was considering selling up or they were aware of a nice one that I hadn’t seen yet.

Thanks for posting, I saw that one come up earlier myself. Later model and good spec, suppose the trade off is the mileage being a bit higher than average, but I won’t be doing masses of miles myself.

I spoke to Listers yesterday about the blue car they have. It was advertised with 51,000miles, which was always a bit higher than I wanted (albeit, it is a newer car to the others I was looking at in my price range).

When I checked the online MOT, the mileage last August(2019), was 53,500, so I queried this with them and they then told me it had actually done 56,500miles.

As a result, I feel it has too many miles on it to justify such a big investment from me, so I am back looking again.

Really want an Aintree Green model with 1700w Meridian sound, so if anyone hears of one, then please do get in touch. I realise they are like hen's teeth, so will just have to be patient.

Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Yes, they corrected their error pretty sharpish, but not the price to reflect the additional 5000m

i know you have your criteria but an extra 5k miles wont make a difference if the spec is what you want.. ... - .- -.

I understand that Stan, however as I was really looking for something around the 40,000mile mark, it is another 15,000miles, which could be 2-4 years mileage and associated wear and tear for me.

At my price point, I would feel better with a year older car with less mileage I think.

As a general comment I would prefer a younger RR with higher mileage to an older one with low mileage.

It's a bit above your stated price target, but there is a high spec 65 SVA at Inchcape in Preston in blue with the top audio in case that is any use. Only Range Rovers since 1988
