Tbh - I had the same situation - I bought a new casing from eBay split the old one and soldered a new battery in while I was at it (not necessary if no battery problems) and just swapped the guts over took about 10mins max.

I tried one from FFRR site vendor. Didn’t work. I could get it to unlock the doors but nothing else. ______________________________

Bushy - my query is - as it reads one chip then clones it does the car see it as the same key or can you set different seat positions etc? Current stable:
