United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Stornoway Grey
[For Sale] 5.0 Supercharged, 2010

It’s a 2010 plate with 130k black leather with piano black trim finish. Ivory leather headlining, sunroof,tv screens both front seats. Rear heated and cooled reclining seats. Front heated, cooled memory seats. Rear camera usual spec entertainment and phone. Flappy paddle shift, heated steering wheel, all steering wheel controls working including cruise with forward distance sensor, fixed tow bar and electrics. Everything works as it should and no fault codes showing.

Almost full main dealer history until the last service which was at my local garage. Just serviced and going in for a new power steering pump which has a slight leak on Monday. I bought it just as the lockdown started to replace my Dodge Ram and keep miles off my D4. Incredible to drive and absolutely flies when the supercharger does it’s stuff. Alloys a bit scuffed but would refurbish quite cheaply, tyres all good and a full size spare wheel. Corona virus has changed everything so it’s no longer needed. To the best of my knowledge the chains have not been done but there is absolutely no nasty noise or signature rattling Looking for about £10k If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem!!

I know, the job can be done properly for under £3k. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem!!

I couldn’t see a price on it, but you have it right at the end.

It’s a bit tricky to see...... I read it four times before i saw it...... might be better to put “£10k ono” as it stands out a bit more for old people like me Laughing

Hi. It’s one of those “if you have to ask, you can’t afford” kind of questions but having focused on diesel as a purchase I’m intrigued as to how have you found real world fuel economy out of this. Is it ruinously poor? I suppose it’s all down to how much temptation you give in to the right foot?

I average 22mpg in my 5.0 S/C, but that's (at least, prior to COVID-19) a combination of driving across London through dismal traffic, and then offset by long motorway runs to Dorset and back, typically on radar cruise at 68-70mph.

If I just crawled around London in stop start traffic, I'd be in single digits, or maybe just touching 10-12mpg if I'm lucky!

If you do mainly motorway journeys with minimal town/city traffic, and stick to the speed limit, then 25+mpg is achievable.

I decided I tend to do 5-7k miles max each year, so the additional cost of the petrol didn't bother me, and avoids all the London ULEZ issues.

But bottom line is don't buy any Range Rover for economy driving, especially not a supercharged one! They are relatively expensive things to keep on the road.

Trust me, I am under no illusion about running costs. This was more about having not considered the petrol option and simply taking the opportunity to get a real world view.

That average you achieve from mixed driving conditions actually sounds okay under the circumstances. Food for thought, certainly. Cheers for the insight. Thumbs Up

That's exactly what I decided, although I moved from a TD5 Defender 110 SW doing about 25mpg into this, averaging 22mpg, so not a massive difference in terms of overall fuel costs.

I wasn't planning on buying an enormous supercharged thing that makes no sense at all traditionally, but especially in the ULEZ in London and doing fairly low miles, it does make sense Smile.

I've had a great 2.5 years with it so far.
