‘Morning Matt,
Is this the thing you are after?

When I had a Swan neck Westfalia tow bar fitted to my 2004 L322 in 2017, the chap at the tow bar place talked me in to buying this flange tow bar attachment he had. It’s been sat in my garage ever since - just in case - but without ever seeing the light of day.

I realise North Yorkshire isn’t the closest to Chesham, so you’ll probably be able to find one closer. But if you can’t find one nearer, I guess I could sell you the one I have. IIRC I think they charged me £75+VAT for it.

I appreciate with the distance this option is probably a chocolate tea pot!

Hi Matt,

I’ve asked my wife, who sends out loads of parcels at work, and she says that if it less than 30kg I should be able to send it with DPD. Later on, I’ll weigh it and then get back to you properly.

Hi Matt,

According to my bathroom scales, the tow ball, flange and armature weigh 11.1kg. So allowing for some robust packaging that it stand a chance of not escaping from, I reckon about 13kg.

I got a quote from DPD, copy attached, which was £16.49. So with £75 for the thing itself, I’d be asking for £91.49.

Let me know if it’s something you want to do and we can sort out the details. If you want to wait to see if you can get one cheaper or closer to home, I’m happy to keep hold of mine for a month or so, before you decide.
