TDV8 Gearbox gremlins

Hi all,
My first post so be gentle Smile
I have a 2009/10 TDV* Vogue and have had an intermittent gearbox issue for a couple of months. Driving along fine and then it is like it doesn't want to move up a gear, put the foot down a little harder and it appears to go up a gear (Normally arount 4th) but then the gearbox fault warning comes up (press OK to clear).
The car seems to stay in this gear and will not go any higher, so revs get high if on motorway etc.
If i pull over turn the engine off and restart the fault clears and I can drive normally again. This has been internmittent and no rhyme or reason to when it happens.
I had the car in for a service at my local and they ran the diagnostics. They said that there were several fault codes which they had cleared but nothing registering as a gearbox fault. If it happenned again to go back and show them a piocture.
Done that today as it has happenned again twice in just over a week, yesterday being the last time.
The mechanic advised to taker it directly to a geazrbox specialist they use, but thought i would seek the wisdom of the foerum before comitting to what could be a costly process.
Any help or advice greatly received and appreciated

Some potentially obvious question for you:-

What were the fault codes that have been cleared?

How many miles has the car done?

Has the gearbox fluid been changed at all?

Do you have any way of reading live data? Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Thanks for reply,
Unsure of fault codes that were cleared, I just know that none were related to gearbox issues (independant Land rover specialists)
Mileage is 108 000
Only had the vehicle from 103 000 miles so unsure if fluid has been changed, i know there are 2 school of thoughts on this as some say that the gearbox is sealed for life but there are kits to relace the fluid etc.
I have an OBD2 scanner that can show some live data, but not an IID tool. I think I can see where you are going with that, I did have it connected up at one point, but as fault was intermittent and it uses wifi rather than bluetooth I turned it off. I will connect it up and see if the fault returns qith the OBD2 tool connected.
Thanks for response and any other ifo and aid greatly appreciated.

Below is photo of fault code:

I don't really think there are 2 schools of thought to be honest.

There is, of course, LR official line -- but when ZF themselves suggest oil changes I think most of us believe them and not LR.

There are 2 schools of thought on how to do the change, personally I opted for a flush, but that was a personal choice.

There are a huge number of possibilities about what could be going on, it could be that an oil change would fix things, it could be that as it hasn't had one there maybe damage -- it could be completely unrelated.

There must be something throwing the screen fault you show............ Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Start with a 'mega flush' not just an oil & filter change. Good decent Indy should have this piece of kit.
