MY19 - A couple of questions

I’ve just picked up a MY19 VSE coming from a MY17 AB.

The keyless entry isn’t working. It’s fine unlocking pressing the button on they fob. I can’t find anything in the menu’s that switches off/on the keyless function. Any ideas? To be honest I may leave it like this as it’s additional security.

On the MY17 you could select from several speedometer/rev counter layouts. This option seems to have disappeared as has the ‘torch’ effect on the speedo that I particularly liked. Is this the case on all MY19’s? MY23 D350 HSE

PHIL,

Can’t help you out with the keyless entry maybe have a look on YouTube.

The speedo/rev counter changes of display and torch effect are still there maybe its worth a look in the handbook as it might be different to what you were doing with your previous car.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Many thanks Stan for the video, still deciding whether to activate keyless from a security perspective but reassuring that I can if I want.

Re. The speedo, I’ve been through the menu(s) and settings several times but can’t find what I’m looking for. I’ll have to contact the dealer who sold it to me unless anyone can point me towards the menu I’m unable to locate presently. MY23 D350 HSE

Torch effect?

There are no customisations for the speedo etc except to choose from two, one and zero dial layouts. Two is the usual speedo + rev counter, and then one dial is a rev counter that also shows speed digitally. And zero dials (I.e. full screen) is, typically, a big map that shows speed digitally., no revs. If you have HUD then revs will show there but only in Sport mode. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Thanks Stan. Been through those menus several times now.

Re. ‘Torch’ effect. The MY17 menus offered several speedo display options, chronograph was my preferred. The MY19 Only offers a single speedo/rev counter option or some other silly options (driver assistance etc.).

The ‘torch’ effect, which effectively focuses the dial (speedo reading) on a (say) plus or minus 10mph either side of the actual speed, has been available since my 2011 L332, so why have LR removed this feature for the MY19? Strange. MY23 D350 HSE

Coming to the conclusion that multiple display options and the torch effect are now limited to AB and SVA specs. Petty LR decision making in my opinion for a £100k RR. MY23 D350 HSE

Yes, my thought too.

Straight up question, does anyone with a MY19 VSE have multiple 2-dial speedo/rev counter display options? MY23 D350 HSE

Hi DrF,

I believe the white dials are exclusive to the SVA LWB.
I haven’t got the white dial effect on mine but everything else Thumbs Up Thumbs Up 19MY SVA-Dynamic Spectral Chromoflair Blue but colour not available in profile
