Try as I might I can't get information to display on the head unit (distance, range, mpg et), I also have lost the rotary volume control, the mode button displays the options but only radio is available.

The entertainment touch screen will display all options radio, cd, aux, tv as blacked in and available but when pressing the screen buttons I get the beep and the button changes colour (ie should be selected) however the thing remains on radio only.

Audio options screen is available and all options are selectable, harmon cardon etc and tone, balance, fader etc but none of them actually do anything.

Sat nav works, steering wheel volume works, steering wheel change track etc stopped working.

I have tested and checked every fuse, swapped relays over etc.

I have removed bluetooth module, checked MOST continuity in the boot, all modules, tuner, tmc, amp, out and return, even bought a bypass tester loop.

CD player has power and mechanically loads cd cartridge but I can't select CD and am stuck with radio only.

Dashboard display shows all correct info, time, date, c1 mpg, c2 mpg, range, temp etc, but head unit shows nothing.

MOST wakes up with orange flashing and splash screen, but then boots as normal (orange light off and into home screen options).

134679 and 753 won't allow me to get into self test mode with key at position 2.

I have also done countless 'hard resets'.

I'm stumped.

Any help much appreciated.

only a guess but the battery and alternator output could be checked. ... - .- -.

To anyone with the same problems, I can report that the bug was in the TSD on my car. Got a used TSD from a breaker, changed over and all systems works.

What's a TSD? 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
New Defender D300 90 on order so "Rory" will be going to a new home....!
