Just waiting for the tax renewal form to arrive, then I will be able to re- tax on line, then I will swap it over on line, tell the insurance and fit the plates. MOT is also due early July, so before then.

my MOT was due on the 8th May and i have phoned twice to book and been told that i can get it done but they prefer to give service and repair work a priority...probably ring again in july/august to book as hopefully it would have quieted down by then.. ... - .- -.

I bought my plate at a DVLA auction as an online bidder and it was very exciting. I didn’t bother with my initials or any meaning whatsoever, I just wanted a shorter plate (5 characters or less) and ideally some symmetry, which I got in the end but it cost a couple of grand including taxes. I don’t envisage selling it, but I would hope I will always be able to see it for at least what I paid for it.

All of our cars have private plates, to disguise there age, mostly from my ex-wife. and one of them I lost in the divorce and she lost it when she sold the car on, I traced it and got it back. that really got up her hooter.
