I'm looking forward to joining in this enjoyment.

Going to look at my first L322 tomorrow.

An Orkney grey AB on a 12 plate with magnolia and black interior (according to the garage selling it) that's done 78k miles with a full LR service history.

Is it wrong to be this excited at my age? (I was 60 yesterday!)

Dunc.

Happy Birthday - there are plenty of us on here older than you and in fact the only thing we get excited about nowadays is our cars Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Geoff

Thanks for the encouragement, chaps.

I haven't bought it....yet. Got another one to see on Monday and I'll decide then. On the plus side, no smoke at all when booted hard (after it had warmed up), no oil drips/patches - and the engine wasn't 'just been cleaned' clean, there was some road grime on it. Everything worked, including the parking brake, suspension and the high/low range motor. I was expecting that last one to be seized given how seldom people tend to use the low box in these.

A little corrosion on the rear arches, none on the tailgate. All the electronics in the left-hand corner of the boot were clean and dry, no sign of water ingress.

The only thing that stopped me from buying it was the price. at £18995, even with only 79k miles it seems a bit pricey.

Having said that, it comes with a full main dealer service, new MOT with any advisories done and 6 months warranty.

Dunc. The life you have is the only one you'll get; make the most of it.
