L405 coolant leak FOXED

I have had a coolant leak for a while , very small amount but started leaving the odd drop on the garage floor. My son took off the oil cooler today and it doesn't appear to have any visible leaks. There is dried coolant around the front and to the left handside ( looking from the front) of the engine where the oil cooler sits on. Could the base gasket leak coolant here ? All hoses seem fine with no residue. Any thoughts before he put it back together ? Thank you 2015 4.4 AB

Just in case anyone else has this issue. Problem was the a pin hole leak in the thermostat housing. In the picture you can see there is a triangular cut out in the bottom on the housing , inside of the triangle is a water channel and there was a pin hole in that channel.

Leak didn't show up on a pressure test but as pics show thats where the issue was. Leak was very minimal with about a drop being left on the garage floor overnight. Im not sure i would have noticed the drop on the drive but the garage floor is painted so it showed up. Part number is LR110459.LRC for my model which is a 2015 4.4 SDV8

Cost of part was about 80 stg 2015 4.4 AB

Hi
have you fixed the problem by changing the LR110459 ?

It looks like i have the same problem on my 2015 SDV8... I've changed the LR110459 but I have problems with the 3 front hoses...the male connectors looks to be change on the LR110459 compare to the initial reference... leaks...

I've ordered 3 new hoses, waiting for them (LR080118, 119 and 120)... did you have the same problem ?

thank you in advance for your feedback
regards
David

Hi, no issues with hoses or fitting , the replacement part did have the cut out that was on the original covered so if the same pin hole leak happened the water would be contained. 2015 4.4 AB

Thank you for your answer

To be clear I ´ve problem with thoose 3 connectors on the new part
The diameter is approximately 1mm less than the original one, so leaky

All are LR oem parts

LR ask me to change the 3 hoses because the connectors are not detailed
The cost is close to 500€ … Big Cry Big Cry

That's strange, my replacement, also LR, was a direct replacement with no change ( That I noticed ) 2015 4.4 AB
