new wheels - what nuts and valves

Just bought a new set of take-offs for my l322 (cheaper than just tyres!)

the original valves have been removed so can i just fit std valves and what nuts are needed?

You can fit normal valves, don't know what year your fatty is but if it's a later one then the TPMS won't work

You need the post 2006 nuts, plenty on ebay.. Pete

Bearmach nuts equal to Genuine ones. Both will eventually rust, swell and not allow a 22mm socket onto them Banging Head 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Don't know if you can get these in the UK, but Gorilla Nuts are quite good.

thanks fellas, 1 final question:

the original superchaarger wheels are 8.5j 58 offset and these new ones are 9j 45 offset so will the wheels stick out a bit more?

The extra wheel width should balance with the change of offset - maybe a slight difference, but I doubt it would be visible.

ok, so my new wheels and tyres arrived - they look good but they have no valves in them.

given that they originally had TPMS valves in and I don't want those type, will normal valves fitted instead lead to a balancing requirement?

only the outside bead has been broken to remove the TMPS. Anyone know if std valves are the same weight as the TPMS?

also, has anyone self-fitted new rubber valves into the rims?

the guys at the tyre shop seem to just lubricate them and pull then through with pliers then pressurise to seat the bead back on.

Obviously I could just take all the wheels to a tyre place but these are big and heavy things and I'd need to do two trips so doing it myself if possible would be preferred.

They will need balancing

Lots of peeps running the 55’s on the L322 without a problem

You should be able to get all, 4 in with the seats down ?

Then get the tyre place to fit them whilst you’re there
