If that’s the only criteria, then just go to oponeo or black circles and look for the lowest dB rating.....

I have avons on at the moment for summer and are ok but getting near to 4mm so was going to change them and wondered about some of the tyres with the song or foam inserts?
Its more internal noise rather than external - is the 405 much quieter ?

i dont think you can get 255 55 20 tyres foam filled ...

and yes Sandy , the L405 is quieter..

i would also peruse the tyre db ratings for the best one as Alistair has suggested... ... - .- -.

Agree with Stan, the L405 is a lot quieter. I have the Pirelli 22" wheels and although the ride is not as smooth as 20" ones, it is still the DB Thumbs Up SDV8 AB MY 2019

I have noticed that my winters are quieter in the car yet the dB rating is higher than the summers thats why I was wondering about actual true fitment
Might just be that the Avons are a bit worn or that I can here them more as all suspension has been replaced over last couple of years Whistle

I’m having Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Seasons fitted on Thursday . I ditched the separate winter tyres as needed the space and picked up a puncture in one of the current Avon ZXs , so decided now was the time to switch to an all season tyre
The Pirelli’s are 255/55/20 and have the noise cancelling foam or PCNS , and apparently run flat too
They aren’t available in the OEM 255/50/20 size

I'm fairly sure they aren't run flat, I know it's on the page but that's just because they've dropped a technology section in there which covers PCNS and RFT.

I'm interested to know how you and anyone else gets on with the Zero All Season, especially how they compare to the Verde All Season.

I see from the Pirelli website that they now have a Verde All Season SF which has the M&S marking on the sidewall, so I assume it would be even better in the winter. It's only available in 16-20" at the moment though unfortunately, 255/55x20 is one of them. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Pretty sure they are run flat but will see tomorrow. The Scorpion Zero are named m&s on the tyre but it doesn’t seem to mention it in the blurb
