Is it possible to shift from r to d withbthe paddles?

Have read about shifting from drive to reverse and the otherway, here at fullfatrr. Have been trying it but it doesn't seem to work. Is it possible? How do i do? The dealer told me he didn't know anything about it 2011 tdv8 autobiography bournville / Arabic
