Had to call the RAC today, was a fuel code but didn't have my iiD with me, all sorted with a reset, However this code came up which he assured me is a problem, any thoughts??

hi , yes that code is a common fault , it's located on the RHS exhaust manifold as you look at the engine from the front . There is a very good thread on wiki under egr temp sensor ( which it isn't ) . I had that fault for 2 years on my car without issue .
If you fancy changing it it's a challenge , i would suggest leave it alone .

Join the club ... mine has had this fault code showing since I bought an iid at least 3 years ago.
Even my local independent garage told me to ignore it....They said it’s a pig of a job and can even mean needing a new manifold if things go badly.

I had mine swapped out as part of some wider jobs (new secondary turbo) by Rovertune who have the kit and experience and regularly swap them out for the upgraded sensor replacement
Personally, I’d ignore it unless you want to have a go and follow Greg’s excellent guide  Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

It always nagged away at me seeing that code even though i had no issues . In the end i had it swapped at Duckworths as part of some other work i had done , having no error codes makes me happy ( and poorer ). 2011 tdv8 4.4 vogue Santorini black

It makes good sense to change it at the same time as other work if access is easier, depending on the job you are getting done.
