Sat Nav & Bluetooth streaming

Thinking about changing my 10MY L322 (facelift version with TFT dash). Is the Sat Nav on the early L405’s the same as my current car? Also, does the L405 have Bluetooth streaming for music and is the Bluetooth phone set up better/more reliable that on my current car? Thanks, nick

I’ve just made the swap; L322 to L405.
I can confirm that BT music streaming is present, and seems to work fine. As far as I can workout the L405 is a hard drive navigation system.

With regard to the phone system, I didn’t have a problem in the old car, except for the odd clicking noise. But with this one, so far so good. The only thing I’ve noticed it that the callers name doesn’t come up on the display as quickly as the old model.

So far so good ...

Hope that helps.

Thanks millerj90.

How are you finding the new one - is it substantially better than your L322?

I’ve got the HDD sat nav on my L322 and from the pictures I’ve seen online the early L405 looks the same?

My phone connection is a lottery - sometimes it connects and works fine with caller id, phone book etc, sometimes it connects but no caller id etc, sometimes it doesn’t connect at all!

Despite the models only being few years apart, there is a definite step change in ride and noise reduction.

The whole entertainment system seems to react a little slower, mainly in startup, but once up and running it performs as it should, apart from the aforementioned caller ID delay.

Sound quality is a massive improvement over the L322, the bass has returned and all the tone settings have a very good useable range.

Like many others have said;"do it, you won’t regret it"

John
