I am hoping one of you fine people may be able to shed some light on my problem. I had a top intercooler hose split on me the other day and it went into restricted performance. One of the error messages was adaptive dynamic fault, which looking on the forum is a common.
The hose has been replaced but I still have the adaptive dynamic fault message. It doesn't always come on straight away. Sometimes it does, sometimes it comes on after a few metres, sometimes it might be a mile down the road.
Have checked the front shock wiring and no obvious problems.
My mechanic only had time to clear off any error codes this morning but hasn't made any difference. Will be going back in next week when he has time to investigate.
Anybody got any idea what could be the cause or where to first start looking? I haven't tried adjusting the ride height as I didn't want to potentially create another problem as at least it's drivable at the moment.

Just seems strange that everything was ok before the split hose causing the restricted performance and adaptive dynamic fault message.

Lift out the boot floor cover and look in the two back corners near the rear seats. You'll see the wires

Nothing heavy carried but a few weeks ago my mechanic was going to change the rear dampners but I had got the wrong ones. I know he didn't remove the old ones but pretty sure the carpet came up.

Just checked rear wiring - nothing obviously wrong!
Guess I'll just have to wait until next week when it can get plugged in and properly investigated.

When you lifted up the rear carpets, did you check the wiring that runs around the fuel tank? If you unbolt and lift off the two round access panels in the floor, that will give you a chance to check the wiring for the adaptive dynamics. It's the most common fault if the rear left or right AD loom is at fault as the wiring gets chafed by the tank and then eventually breaks. I had the same symptoms as you, intermittent AD fault which got worse, IID Tool showed Rear Right Sensor Ground Fault. The wire had got chafed then broke. Easy fix as you just need to splice a new bit of cable to join the break.

edit: If you lift out the Boot Floor Cover, fold the rear seats forward and lift up the carpet, you'll see the access covers, the fuel tank is under those two covers and the wiring runs around the tank You'll also need to lift the rear door trim pillars out of the way to lift the carpet and unbolt the seat locking brackets (torx driver needed for the bolts).

I didn't have to lift the carpets as I only checked the wiring to the rear dampners, accessed from the boot.
Do you mean the access panels that you have to lift the rear seats and then lift the carpet to get to?
I had a new fuel pump and senders earlier in the year so if it's those there has been activity around there.

Still seems strange that it was fine before the hose split.
