When you renew your FFRR insurance do you just renew as Market Value , or Do you guesstimate a figure what you think your car is worth and insure it for that amount .... |

They will offer the minimum. The ONLY REASON they ask for your version of the value, is just in case you have a lower figure than them! |

Yes - the days of not accepting the first offer is long gone - basically they offer you a price and that is it ! I went through all the hassle over a year ago when a rock smashed the gearbox of my Merc s600 and wrote the car off ! Got nowhere near what it would have cost to get a similar replacement |

my friend got his Harley written off - he refused the insurance prices until the third offer he basically told them to get him the 'same' harley in the same condition etc - they could not! |

I also have an agreed value on my Defender - I get the local specialist indie who also deals in Defenders to give me a signed document for them and they are happy with that. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

Probably not important if claiming off your own insurance but worth the argument if claim from a third party (if it was their fault).

You don't need expensive insurance for an agreed valuation. I've got it on my Morris Minor which fully comp costs me £77.82p per year. Includes breakdown cover and unlimited milage too! |
