He’s got an L322. I've noticed on my 4.4 TDV8 a *very* slight coolant leak from a hose connection on the RHS (offside) of the radiator. It's so slight that there's no drip (it evaporates off), giving a hot smell when you park up.

Wouldn’t be surprised if part of the cooling did need some work.
