On the L322 it was possible, but not anymore - the seat base is higher... 2019 Vogue P400e

I have built a cardboard model to see... When my son is in the seat it is complete covered, so that is OK. if I move the seat to where I woud have it, it should be OK, but I am short and have the seat forward... I need to get a taller friend to try it... I hope that I will never need to use it, but if it is in the boot, it reduces the chance to use it in time... I now have the correct part numbers, so I will see... if I do get the parts I will post photos of it fitted... SDV8 AB MY 2020

In my opinion, if a fire happens, you stop and get out of the car! Then it doesn't matter if the extinguisher is in the boot. For me, it's intruding where they put it, but it's true I measure 1.90m... 2019 Vogue P400e

I have the parts. Now need to time to remove front seat to fit. Need to see which trim pieces are needed to be removed to do that. There are two covering the front seat bolts. The Next 2 weeks are school holidays so I hope to have time. SDV8 AB MY 2020

well... I removed the front seat. so I can access the 2 holes where the bracket goes. So the holes are too large for the M6 Rivnut that I got with the kit. And too small for M8 Rivnut. So I have refitted the seat and need to think about what to do...

Ideas anyone? drill the hole to fit the M8 and drill bracket to take M8 bolt...

I might ask the garage doing the service how much to fit, but I think that cost a lot. SDV8 AB MY 2020

I'm from the Netherlands, live in the UK, drive through Belgium all the time. Well not so much this year Mr. Green I've never heard of the need to have a fire extinguisher onboard when driving through Belgium. Is that a recent change? It used to be mandatory but only for cars registered in Belgie.

I think it is useful to have a fire extinguisher - just not where JLR puts them, at least not for me, it is in the way. In our country it's mandatory to have one, along with 2 (two) warning triangles and a set of spare bulbs (how can one get spare bulbs for the MY2020 FFRR)! BTW, luxmoggy, are you OK with the location? 2019 Vogue P400e

For me the location works. And I think it will be possible to grab it if needed, more so than in the back...

I had it there while I waited for the time to fit it. I hasn’t got in the way... but I am on the shorter side... my son the same...

So if I get a tall girlfriend it might change....

For needing one in Belgium it is now recommended, many years ago you needed it... when checking other countries I travel to, Austria was a requirement/recommendation depending on the website... if I get stopped it is just one less thing they can complain about... SDV8 AB MY 2020

That must have been a very long time ago then that it was required. I mean my grand parents used to live in Belgium whilst I was still in the Netherlands. My parents moved to Knokke as well. I never heard of the need to carry. Only for België registered vehicles.

Been stopped enough times by the zwaantjes (Traffic police) never ever been asked about it either. Just drove along with me to the cash point to pay the fine there and then Wink
