United States 2010 Range Rover Autobiography Supercharged Buckingham Blue
VVT question

I replaced my timing stuff in my 2010 RR supercharged. Ever since then i get a P0366 which is bank 1 exhaust camshaft poition circuit performance. When i log actual VVT position the other 3 are steady at about 118 degrees but that bank 1 exhaust goes from like 96 to 56 to 6 and keeps going back and forth but those three numbers keep coming back and bounces around. Any ideas? I have a new vvt solenoid but not sure if thats the problem.

Not so sure of that because i have the special tools and i have the other ones correct. If the timing on the one cam was off maybe but seeing how it jumps around like that idk. Plus if it off its off by the tiniest amount and i would think it can adjust for that. Plus say it is a little off why would it bounce around, and going from 96 to 6 it doesnt ohysically have that much range. Hmmm without the car running but in it should read the timing correct, so if car is off and it still bounces it should be a reading since car isnt running?

School me on operation, correct me if i am wrong. VVT solenoid has a connector which controls a magnet and thenmagnet will allow the advance or retarded oil flow circuits in the vvt actuator. The vvt actuator is what changes camshaft timing. The cam pos sensor is what sends the signal to the ecm saying where the cam is? So the degrees i see in my GAP are a voltage coming from the cam pos sensor and then the ecm interprets voltage into degrees? Sound right?

I think his case is different than mine. I had the timing tensioner issue so i replaced all that, rebuilt super charger, rebuilt heads with new everything, gasket matched and polished heads, replaced bank 1 exhaust camshaft and vvt actuator, new fuel injectors, pulley with velocityap tune. Car runs great only issue is with very very light throttle it stumbles for ine second, fuel economy lost about 1-1.5mpg idk if thats the tune or if its the timing not reading correct and this engine light. Wanna sell this to buy a newer ine but cant sell with an engine light.

Well i hooked up my GAP without the car running and the bank 1 exhaust stays at 114 while the other 3 stay about 118. When i start it then it jumps around agin. So i guess timing could possibly be off by the 4 degrees? But i dont understand why it would jump around like that when the physical range is not even that much

The part i am really trying to understand is say my one camshaft is at 114 rest while others are 118. These systems have something 55 degrees of timing flexibility so why doesnt it correct it to the 118 instead of going from 95 to 6 the whole time
