Water Ingress

My RR had the TV and phone modules replaced due to water damage just before I purchased it. LH Rear Q/light was revealed. With amount of rain we've had thought I'd check if it's all dry. Am I right in assuming these units are in the LH boot compartment? I notice mine has a plastic cover behind the units, seem to recall this was a LR mod to prevent the units being damaged, looks new so may have been fitted at same time as the replacements. Everything seems bone dry so don't appear to have an issue. One thing LR recommended to previous owner was a new roof lining which he declined, not surprised at £1500!! Does anyone know what this would have been? 2009 Range Rover Vogue 3.6TDV8, Bournville, Parchment/Navy

Possibly leaking sunroof drains or antenna.

No other way for water to get in up there. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks, going to check drains properly but initial look they seem clear and no dampness around the sunroof. Will look at antenna and maybe run some sealant around it as a precaution. No signs of water ingress on headlining. 2009 Range Rover Vogue 3.6TDV8, Bournville, Parchment/Navy

He probably had a blocked drain which was fixed. And as always with LR they recommend you replace every last thing they touch to get to the broken bit...... so if the headlining was a bit damp then new headlining would be specced. Even if it was salvageable. If there is no sign of damp then I wouldn’t be overly concerned.. It sounds like the previous owner had the water shedder fitted. If you can get a look down into the cavity behind the electronics then you will get an idea whether there is any water trapped in the wheel arch seam. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Cheers guys, few things to look at. I was baffled at the replace roof section option, as it wasn't done the Headlining has no marks whatsoever so can't see any reason. I will dig out the invoice the dealer had commented on and will see exactly what they said. 2009 Range Rover Vogue 3.6TDV8, Bournville, Parchment/Navy
