L405 MY17 on (ish) info please ...

Hi all ...

Still in the dithering mode as to which way to go .. this now brought me to late 17 AB which I've taken out on test ... have to say impressed but then how could you not be impressed ?? That said I'm now realising there are subtle differences that I wasn't aware of ... all the infotainment for one .. and addition of adblue etc

So my question is some real world comments on the MY 17 as opposed to the previous version ... ie driveability .. Mpg improvement (if any) and other improvemts and or losses etc in short go thd extra mile for thd later version or not ?? ... Tia ..

If its a 17 plate white SDV8 AB you drove then that is a MY17 model and is fundamentally no different to the previous MY16 except for the revised infotainment system. Adblue came in on MY16 models and are there are some minor tweaks to the spec (different pack options etc). Active locking rear diff became standard on the MY17 SDV8 models when previously it was an option.

Late MY18 cars are different (basically MY18.5), they are the facelifted version with the squarer light cut out in the grill, revised seating with new style leather, the new glass panel heating control system and the seat controls on the door panel rather than down the side of the seat. Currently there is quite a price difference between MY18 pre and post facelift cars Current Fleet:-

Each to their own, but I prefer the lower control panel on the MY17 to the later model screen. I also prefer the revised infotainment system of the MY17 to the earlier models.

I can’t remember when the “hidden” store storage was done away with, but I particularly like it.

Hence why I really wanted a used MY17, it’s my favourite version of the L405 and good value (IMO). 👍

Where is the “hidden” store storage.

Not seen any secret storage on mine!.....maybe because it’s hidden.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Just spotted this. Yes, it was meant to be “door storage”.

My iPhone fat fingered predictive text thingy.
