Improve FBH 2011

My 2011 came with remote FBH. All seems to work as expected. But never seems to be warm. Confused

I'm convinced that turning the temperature dials up to max the night before makes a difference...

Tried that. Still not even slightly warm.

The FBH will only put out warm air if the ambient temp is below 5*C I believe.

I set the timer on mine and its still blowing cold but when its really cold outside it will defrost the car before I get out to it.

Hi, the fan will blow warm air into the cab if the outside temp is 16 degrees or less, if the temp is above 16 the hvac will blow cold air into the interior to cool it down, if the temp outside is less than 6 degrees it will blow warm air into the interior and pump warm water around the engine block to aid cold starting. I'm with Dr Rob and think it works better if the dials are turned up, remember it will take upto 20 minutes to fully heat the interior.

If the weather is hot, it just blows the outside air in, rather than cold, so at least the interior isn’t any hotter than outside.

How long should it run for at a time? I tried it this morning as the temp was less than 6 degrees.
The fob flashes green for some time, when it stopped I pressed it again. Repeated several times, I guess the run time would have been 30 minutes or so.
Got in the vehicle and heater was still cold.
I have had to change coolant within last 6 months, I wonder if that side of the system has an airlock?

My first was a 1952 80" Land Rover that I rebuilt myself. No heater and massive gaps around doors and windscreen. No draughts is enough for me Rolling with laughter 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

This is true. But its quite a kit to have fitted if it doesn't even do anything.

I think the one on my TD6 run for 30 mins, but I’ve a feeling it’s 20 mins on the 4.4 TDV8.

It will stop if criteria is met, like low fuel or battery voltage low.

I have the manual for the heater somewhere, and there are things you can configure, if I remember right.

Mine doesn’t get that warm to be fair. And I assume it would defrost the windows, but my car is inside, so I’ve never tested it for that.
