Water drops on roof above rear passenger seat?

So I’m still trying to chase down some water ingress....

I have now...

Sealed the hinges
Changes the boot seal
Deli ones around all the rear non winding window seals and trims
Replaced shark fin antenna and sealed...
Cleared sunroof drains...

I was convinced she should be water right with all that but alas I pull the headlining down and there are water drops above the passenger rear seat...

Any ideas what I may have missed that could cause this?

Thanks Current stable:

Possible causes could be:

Disconnected sunroof drain pipe?
Rear wash wiper pipe leaking
Rear wiper leaking - common issue, but normally drips from the top of the tailgate trim into the boot.

Thanks Jon funnily enough I posted about my rear squirted not working but I’ve not tried it for about a week and this is more recent than that - cannot still leak even if not squirted? Would a drain leak if it is coming out of the correct place by the wheel arch? Current stable:

No, but what’s likely happened is the rear/upper tailgate trim has an amount of water in it from the washer pipe or seal leakage and when you open the boot it tips out....

Take off the upper trim, you can then see if the inside of it is showing signs of water leakage, and while you are in there fix the wash wipe! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Interesting above the driver rear seat from the door seal edge in about 5 inches the headlining is wet ? Current stable:

It comes out in the rear arch as expected could it leak as well of coming there? Guessing it’s a drop the headlining job? Current stable:

Could be something to do with the rear wash wipe..... does it get wetter when you squirt the rear wash??

I wonder if the pressure has damaged the pipe. Cut some berry fragranced halfrauds washer fluid in then sniff the damp patch! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

You could always drop the head lining on that side, That should give you better idea.

On a side note, I have done all that you have in chasing my leak & I think that I've found it. It appears that it's leaking out of the Passengers side rear lamp flange. I had the torch in there whilst my son hosed it down & water was dripping out.

Just need to seal that area & ant seams around there, when it stops raining Big Cry

Good Luck Thumbs Up

I’m guessing you didn’t have water where I do if that’s where it was though? Current stable:

Great - now the matte on the boot that covers the hatch under the rear fuse box was soaking wet and there were drips on the fuse box... Current stable:

Dan, that must be coming in above the parcel shelf support. Have you taken off the D pillar trim & see if there are any sign of it coming down from there?.
Is the head lining wet above it, You've done the tail gate hinges so should be below this in theory.

I was thinking about getting a plastic duck & leave it in the spare wheel well Rolling with laughter

I still haven't sealed mine up yet to see if I've cured it Big Cry

Keep at it Mate. Thumbs Up

my headlining has one little sag in it as they all go - most wouldn't noticee it but thinking of changing it sooner than planned so I can get it out for a fe days and do some inspecting.... Current stable:

I manged to drop mine by removing the B,C & D pillar trims, Grab handles, to R&R the shark fin. checking the drain tubes.

My head lining has the same issue, but found a you tube clip that shows a guy modifying a spray glue can with a syringe end. He managed to re-glue it, rather than replacing the headlining, I'll try that later.

All the best Paul. Thumbs Up
