Wing Mirrors out of Sync

Hi All

so the wing mirrors on my 2006 L322 are not sync'd. Press button one in and one tries to come in halfway then flicks back out again. I have tried

the fuse (is there more than one and if so locations please)
Double pressed retract button
Held down retract button

Any other ideas on how to resync them. they should go in but the driver's side is being a bit of a PITA

From memory , I think there is a re-set procedure, worthy of a search. If that doesn't work, maybe a battery disconnect might?

Cheers mate. I am sure the battery has been disconnected since I bought it 2-3 weeks ago what with the issues I have with the damn thing. But to know for sure I will take the negative off leave it to drain for a bit and then try and do it. Suggest wing mirrors in then do the battery...would that prompt it to then fold out do you think?

I did read up on the procedures but as you know when you go to do it they never seem to work for you but everyone else it does haha!!!!!

Here is the fix (most of the Time)

Here guys this is from another Forum there are many guys there says it fixes there problem.

After a low battery, the mirrors on my 2007 L322 Range Rover decided that one would fold in when the other folds out...

Some days later having tried all the usual things of manually pulling one mirror out and trying to get them to click back in to sync, nothing, the two mirrors continued to do one in one out, with great comedy value for all.

Anyway. Managed to fix it and just thought I would share it with others.

One forum suggested a double press of the button another suggested disconnecting the battery but another suggested pulling fuses as an easier option.

In the fuse box behind the glove compartment there are two 30 Amp fuses that control left and right door mirrors respectively.

Fuse No.11 and No.24

With the car fully unlocked (just in case) pull the passenger side fuse then with the fuse out the passenger mirror will no longer work so you can use the drivers door button to set the drivers door mirror to the same as the passengers, then pull the drivers door fuse, give it a minute (just in case) and put both fuses back in.

Now both mirrors should be back in sync and work as intended...

It may be that you don't need to pull the passenger fuse first or there maybe easier options, everyone is welcome to reply and give their experiences.

Hope it saves someone a trip to the dealers!

Funny how the British call them wing mirrors when they have never been on the wings of any Rangie. (On the early 2-doors they were on the bonnet. 🤪 ) Ron B. VK2OTC
