United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Baltic Blue

I had to pass my driving test twice, once in my dad’s Wolsey 6/99 in 1967 and then again in a GPO livery series two swb diesel Land Rover to get authorised to drive a “crown “ vehicle . The second test was a diesel conversion course which lasted a full 5 day working week despite the fact I had already passed the normal test.
Crown tests were later scrapped when GPO became BT.
Happy days...
Mike.

PS
Weegie, I learned to drive in an A35 which became my first car, but I couldn’t take my test in it because the handbrake was so bad it wouldn’t hold the car for the hill start.

My brother helped me convert the rear brakes to hydraulic at a later date, but it was still rubbish.

I have just re- read my original reply and want to correct it.

I have passed 4 driving tests , each at first attempt.
That is not to say I would probably fail if I had to take it again because we all adopt bad habits over the years, and the theory test would be a nightmare.

Test one in 1966 was in a 3 wheel isetta bubble car, bought for £25 and two years later sold for £25.
Test two in 1967 in my dad’s Wollsley 6/99 .
Test three in 1968/69 in a GPO swb Land Rover diesel.
Test 4 in c1972 in a BT snow track vehicle to get a group H licence .

I did all my lessons in a MK4 Ford Cortina 1.3. On the test day the Cortina was being repaired so my driving instructor borrowed his mates 1.3 Ford Escort. Did my driving test in East Ham and passed first time 👍

I learned to drive and took my test in 1986 in a Red 3 door Peugeot 205 XLD. My test was the first set of the day. It started snowing towards the end of the test in Salisbury, all the rest of the days tests were cancelled. visiting from www.rrsport.co.uk

United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Aruba

MG1100 in 1967. A lovely car run by my instructor, the Morris school of motoring in Woking. Passed my test in Weybridge, a centre favoured over other nearby towns due to its supposed 'doddle' factor! 2017 SDV8 Autobiography

Passed 2nd time, in 1981, in a Toyota Corolla. Learned to drive in a 1960 Riley 1.5. Step father said that if I could drive that, then I could drive anything! Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)
Galaxy 2001-2007
Mondeo Estate 1997-2001
Sierra Estate 1993-1997
Uno Turbo 1987 -1993
Fiesta 1984 - 1987
