England 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

Ah ok Thumbs Up ,

I have looked at the 753 route but only at the original reversing camera settings when it was thowing a wobbly.
I eventually had enough and swapped it out for a replacement from these people https://www.luxurylandroverupgrades.com/?page=2, was very easy to fit just plug and play.

Sorry to read about your problems, electronics is not my strong point but, things I would check are all earth points and condition of the earth leads. When I did my brake pipes I did notice that the one going to the bodywork (behind front offside inner wing) was quite corroded. Dont you just love these cars, strangely tho' I still do Rolling Eyes .

Good Luck and Thanks

Peter

This is my second one so yes do love them but never wanted this much head scratching so early on. Rear camera I have fixed, exhaust replaced yesterday so fixed all the engine issues. Need to do the 3rd break light as I replaced it with a new smoked one but it does not now work!!!! Even I could wire this surely 😄 Current Cars

ANDDDDDD........she wont start!!!!! Next day after have the exhaust system changed I go to do a Tesco run and battery dead again!!!

Massive drain somewhere or dead battery? I read 14v showing isnt a strong enough signal so maybe a duff battery it is. Will charge all day today and over night and see if it starts on monday for the school run!!!

Any suggestions on battery brands to get/avoid?? Current Cars

Go for the Varta G14 AGM battery, I know its German, but hey - quality over price... 2012 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Current

On Tanya now....

Their star buy/suggested battery is:

019 ENDUROLINE CAR BATTERY 100AH -£90

Other possibles are:

LS019 LUCAS SUPREME CAR BATTERY 12V 100AH - £80

H3 VARTA SILVER DYNAMIC CAR BATTERY 12V 100AH - £97

EA1000 EXIDE PREMIUM CAR BATTERY 017TE - £74

Clearly not a battery expert but assume 100AH is key here opposed to domething in the 80s or 90s

Sub £100 I be happy with. The lucas is tempting as is their suggestion. All are 100AH Current Cars

Try & get one with the longest warranty perhaps?
They're all good makes apart from Enduroline [never heard of them outside Tanya, but if they give a decent warranty, why not?].
I know it's a pain in the ar$e but you could always charge the battery up, disconnect overnight [hence PITA] & see what she's like in the morning. If the battery is fighting fit in the morning, then your problem is a drain. Had this on son-in-laws Golf, a decent mobile sparky would be the next step to find the drain.

I have read up and it could point to a drain and not a battery. I see 3-4 drain issues but will start with the battery. I will charge it again today and leave it off over night then try it again see if it has life in it or not then assess. Cheers for the tips. In a weird way I hope it is a duff battery easier to replace perhaps. Current Cars

This is the one I got fitted 4 years ago. I top it up once a week with my Ctek charger as car only only gets used a couple of days a week for short journeys. Though its what you feel comfortable with. There are so many variants out there to choose from. Good luck

Cheers Strider. Sounds like I do the same as you in relation to short journeys. Once or twice a year its 100 miles+ but mainly its 5 mins here orschool run there.

Maybe its a trickle charger I need more than a battery. I will get to the bottom of this and hey a new battery wont hurt will it and for less than£100 I cant complain really. Current Cars

An 020 battery will fit nice and snugly into vehicles of your vintage. Gives a little more comfort factor. Doesn't negate the need to use trickle charger every now and then though! Previous cars:

019/020 refers to the dimensions of the battery.

019 is the "standard" size for these cars, but many have squeezed an 020 in for a little extra capacity.
