United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

There is 2 of those bentleys.

One is on Clarkson’s Diddly squat Farm, was on their insta feed the other week, and it’s a different Reg from the one on the show, one is a 64 and the one at the farm is a 63. Neither are MoT’d. (I really need something more to occupy my time...) so they must have built 2 for the show just in case.

..... having done some more reading..... aparently one was a Bentley development mule, which will have to be scrapped, so I wonder however if he had the second one built after on the 63 plate. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black

It was the usual mindless way to pass the time, but I quite enjoyed it. Nothing too extreme and each of them playing their predictable caricatures of themselves.

The Bentley was the clear winner for me - hugely impressive. The Caterham did well, but it hardly made me want one.....

I thought it was rubbish.

I cannot help thinking if they changed tack and took properly suitable cars such as a full fat, Bentaga and a g wagen to highlight how capable they are it may make a more interesting program.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Buckingham Blue

I enjoyed it

But if they used "proper" cars that would defeat the whole ethos of the grand tour its not a car review programme its a bit of fun.

Maybe get Fifth Gear to review a FF, Bentayga and G-wagon on the same roads.

The only thing I was a little surprised with, was that those roads have been on TV previously, on a show called "worlds most dangerous roads" (or something like that) driven by a couple of celebs (cant remember who tho) Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006
Ford Focus EcoBoost 1.5 2017
MG TF 2003

Previous Cars of note
Land Rover Discovery 2
Jaguar Mk2 3.8 - Company car
MG Midget 1974 - Concours

It was ok to switch off your mind and relax.

Their scripted jokes are getting worse like only your dad's jokes can be.

And it felt rushed and seriously stupid at the end.

I wonder what the viewing figures are nowadays but feel it is a way of the hill now and they should have stopped ages ago.
