New owner, 2012 SC AB

I've had this 2012 supercharged AB about 6 weeks now, finally got some decent pics in some decent weather!

My dad has been a life long Landrover fan, starting with an ex-Heathrow airport 109" in 1974, through several other 109's, Discos, a 110 and currently a D4 that he's getting expedition ready (he took his teacher's pension and emigrated to South Africa in 2005, but now fancies driving back to the UK through Africa!).

I must admit, in 3 decades of driving they'd never been my thing, but after driving his D4 for many 100s of kms through SA on dirt roads, over mountain passes (and some voortrekker tracks) I finally "got it", and caught the bug myself Wink

I've been looking for many months - originally at supercharged Sports, but soon moved on to full fats - not least because there was more chance of getting one that wasn't murdered-out drug dealer spec.

This one popped up in Poole (about an hour away for me along the coast - the most local FFRR at the time) and while we had intended to "just pop over and see what we think" - of RRs in general - it was such a clean, cared for, and un-window-tinted example they managed to snag my signature before I left.

It's booked in for some life to be sprayed back on the wheels (back to OEM silver), I have the Naviplus carplay kit from Oz here to fit over Christmas, and am putting money aside every month to save up for the inevitable chains service (it's only done 49k so hasn't had it done yet).

I absolutely love it, love the way it wafts around so effortlessly, love the higher driving position; definitely my favourite vehicle I've owned Thumbs Up

Very tasty looking motor mate! You got the best colour Wink

I'm the same, family members have owned 4wd's for years, most notably my uncle who took me Land Rover trialling when I was probably about 13, it's all his fault I'm sure. Loving the driving position and that effortless "waft" along.

Welcome to the club!

Yes, they get you in the end! Laughing
My dad is so excited, bless him - thinks I'm the prodical son, finally embracing the family marque. (He's desperate to get back to the UK to see it, bless him)

Thanks, it'll definitely work better with all the chrome bling on it, I think.
Whilst I love the look of l322s on 22" rims, I'm determined to keep it on these 20" wheels given the conditions of the roads round here.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments Very Happy

There is definitely a lot of shiny bits on that one and very see-through windows Smile Not my style but that doesn't matter as long as you like it.

PS. That grill, is that an SC grille? I thought they only did that one on the Autobiography Black (which yours isn't at first glance).

You need see-through windows so the peasants can see you waving as you glide by! Laughing

As I understand it, the grill (and front and rear bumpers + side vents + exhaust tips) are all part of the "Design Pack". Not sure whether that was an option that was introduced in the final years, but they apparently fit any L322.
