| dingg1 Member Since: 29 Jun 2013 Location: PORTUGAL Posts: 1422    | I have a 4.2 on gas for 7 years now, I have slight petrol addition after 2900 rpm and valve saver, just a simple drip feed after throttle butterfly, done about 50k on gas no issues whatsoever.

 I do like the BMW engine and being a more simple installation it might be a diy job for me. I removed and refitted the LPG to my X5 when i had the headgasket and timing chains done. | ||

 I just want v8 goodness back in my life. Not especially concerned about economy. I currently have an M3 and civic type r so i am used to the bills but i can pick up a used LPG system and potentially diy fit so i might aswell save some cash. | ||

| dingg1 Member Since: 29 Jun 2013 Location: PORTUGAL Posts: 1422    | You can do the conversion on the ajv8 without removing manifolds but it is a bit tricky, also you do need to fit a petrol return line with a suitable orifice installed to keep the fuelling correct, whether this is needed on the bmw lump I don't know. | ||

 Because the 4.4 is an engine which is perfectly suited to running on LPG, the 4.2 engine is a very different engine which suffers from softer valve seats and can lead to a £3-4k bill to have the issue remedied. What's the problem with someone seeking advice?
