Headlamp levelling not working

So off side dipped bulb blew wife took it to Halfords and they fitted the bulb in doing so managed to detach reflector from the left hand adjuster so reflector was pointing at the kerb! Of course they denied it was them !
Managed to pop the ball back in to the adjuster so light now rigid but the lights now no longer do their dance when you switch them on and beam seems abnormally high.
Any ideas on what could be causing this near side light doesn’t seem to move either could it be the ecu has locked out with a fault code?
Unfortunately although my navcoder has the lights listed in the fault code search list it comes back as unable to communicate with the module. Tried inpa as well but same result.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wow, you must be one of only a few owners to have an 02 with a light levelling ECU fitted! Most left the factory without the ECU's fitted as they were more trouble than they were worth! JLR's response to the issue? "Don't fit the ECU's"!?!?!

Try a hard battery reset Thumbs Up

Well mine has been working perfectly until the Halfords monkey got his hands on it!
I never thought of a hard battery reset. I thought that only affected the engine ECU but I will give it a try. I just can’t get into the ECM for the headlamps tried with navcoder and it says no response same on inpa.

Quick update all back working have up in the end bought a second hand headlamp. Fitted that disconnect battery and left over night still didn’t work straight off but 34 hours later suddenly start working so the birds in the trees can sleep in peace at night lol.
