Thanks, Stan.

Will it fit in the spare wheel well with the lifting kit in place, do you know?

not sure but someone will tell hopefully...but you can leave the spare 'as is' and only do the road tyres. ... - .- -.

I’d rather have 5 the same. There’s a 1 inch diameter difference without taking wear into account.

Dunc.

They will go in but it is a very tight fit. Some have shaved a bit off the spare wheel housing to ease it a little.

I had one in place and I took the RR jack (the wire contraption) out as I have a Sprinter jack. As I was taking it out it slipped and jammed behind the spare wheel. I had to get a mate to come over to lift it out as I have some problems which preclude lifting weights. Sad . That was with the lifting kit. John

I dont think 55 will fit with the spare wheel lifter in place. I recall a thread.
Will fit without lifter and a little air taken out.
I'm fitting 55 profile General Grabber AT3 as my next set and will have one as a spare 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

That’s correct, I put GG3s on last year , changing from 275/45/20 to 255/55/20 spare doesn’t fit!
So I kept one 275/45 as the spare!

@DrRob and ChefKenmore, thank you. I'll just have to keep an eye out for someone doing this with 255/50R20 tyres.

I've only just fitted the tyre lifter! At my age and with my arthritis (osteo and Rheumatoid) I've got sod-all chance of getting the spare out without it!

just use one 255/55 as the spare, just to get you home, like others with space saver wheels max 50mph.
