I’m trying to find out how much oil I need for the transfer box on a 4.2 SC.

The Wiki says 1 litre is enough but I’ve read several threads saying that you need about 1.5 litres.

Does anybody know so that I can make sure I’ve got enough fluid before draining mine?

When I had mine done it was 1.5L

I’m trying to take my time and not work on it in the evenings too as the longer it takes the longer it’ll be before I get bored and start looking at eBay again

I've been thinking about it but haven't done anything.

I'm not sure about trying to machine the snout of the supercharger to take the 10% pulley and I'm not sure the 6% is worth the hassle.

Ah I didn't know it was that amount of effort for the 10%. I do know that the 17% pulley on the r53 mini makes a lively car into a very lively car. So not sure how much difference 6% would make, obviously not a direct comparison.

Something to think about if I ever have to take it off but not sure it's worth taking off just for that.
