I heard that the next FF will be launched in late 2021. Does anyone know if this is the case and what it will look like and be specced with? I have to say, I'm guessing that LR might delay the launch if the pandemic is still going on.....

Some sources say this is very close to the 2022 final look... As for specs, rear directional wheels, self opening doors, electro chromatic sunroof, 11.4" display, V8 500hp BMW engine...

Why don't they just offset the rear number plate and complete the 'look', I must be getting old

It’s just occurred to me that the next RR will be the last to be produced with internal combustion engines if the 2030 ban happens! Unless battery tech takes more leaps and bounds, the 2031 version will have to go on a serious diet 😂

Looking at the inflated price tags EV’s currently have over their Fossil Fuel equivalents, unless that is addressed in the next 9 years I dread to think what an electric FFRR will cost £200k+

If EVs are to “ inherit the Earth” I suppose hard target dates need to be set. Its only the threat of financial penalties that incentivise car makers to produce any EVs/Hybrids at all. “Mild hybrid” technology is clever but just ticks boxes really.....and bit like start/stop.

I would guess that thoughts are already turning to what the range of LR products will look like post-2030....

It is indeed their problem, but not only LR, but all the legacy automakers are also in trouble, serious trouble indeed.
The EV-only manufacturers are making significant progress, and EVs are now cheaper to run than internal combustion engine cars.
The transition to an extensive EV adoption will not wait for 2030, the best selling car last month in the UK was the Tesla Model 3 - and it has since seen a lowered price!
The EV RR can not come soon enough, and it is not like LR hasn't been made aware of this. Eight years ago they sent three hybrid L405s to Inda from the UK, yet still, only offer 20 real-life miles EV range on their hybrid 405... when full EVs now offer well over 300 miles of real-life range.

If I had to buy a new vehicle today, it would not be an ICE Range Rover. It would definitely be a Tesla. And I've owned Range Rover/Land Rovers only since 1999. Our neighbours have a Tesla Model X and an A/B L405, and I admit the 405 has more presence on the outside. Still, having driven both on various occasion and having been driven in each one, the Tesla offers a better driving experience overall. And they just came out with a massive refresh/facelift;
