Changing belts - idlers and tensioners?

Just wondering, if I'm changing the aux belt and supercharger belt on my 5.0 SC, currently sitting at 100k miles, should I be changing the idlers and tensioners as well? Obviously won't do any harm Smile but that adds about £250-worth of parts to the job.

If it's a complete no-no NOT to change then then I'll go for it but just wondered whether it's needed or not?

TIA! 5.0 S/C Autobiography

Personally I'd change it for peace of mind if it's on 100k unless you got proof of it being done in the past. £250 ain't a massive hit compared to the damage bill a knackered tensioner will give you

I am just about to do mine on my 4.4TDV8 as i have one squeaky pully and a belt that is coming apart. but i have to take so much of to get good access i am doing the lot including the water pump. my car is 2012 and 114k.
nothing wrong with the current water pump but i would be naffed off if i re-assembled then had to change the water pump 6 months down the road.

I am not a Mechanic and it is only my opinion but when you do jobs like that you might as well change the lot. if you took a Gearbox of a high mile car you would change the clutch assembly just because it was in bits and you can!! 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current

just got my car back after belts, Tensioners, pullies & waterpump have been replaced. Engine is very quiet now Thumbs Up
pic is of the main belt and its condition. Waterpump bearing is a little rough and a couple of the pullies are on there way there was one that is horrible no wonder it was squeeling. All belts have LR badge on them so assume they have never been changed.

I'll be doing both belts on my 4.2SC shortly (now at 91k miles), and am going to change the lot including waterpump, pulleys and tensioners. Parts looking about £670, but I haven't shopped around much yet:

Once the belts are off I will see how the supercharger bearings feel and if they feel ok, I will leave that for now.
