Battery conditioning through towing electrics.

2006 Td6 - Battery conditioner question - I recently found out that it is possible to use a battery conditioner, connected through the 13 pin towing socket plug. Is this info correct ? and if so, can anyone who has done this recommend a good battery conditioner. I do not want an Aldi / Lidl unit, as buy cheap, you usually but twice, this would be for long use, time wise.Someone mentioned C-Tek, but which one ?
Mine gets left under cover and driven for 30 minutes once a month, for several months whilst I am at work. Poor thing. Big Cry

There you are sir. Even has a nice plug for this forum in it (for the adaptor you need to use the charger through the 13 pin socket). L405 4.4 AB Loire Blue

I have been using a CTEK 7 for years without issue.

Connector for towing electrics can be bought from the shop on the Disco bit of our sister forum.

I have an Aldi and a ctek and as far as I am concerned both have been faultless, both are well built, both do the job.

If I needed another one I would go for the Aldi, the price difference is vast, 5 Aldi's for 1 ctek.

But then maybe I'm a bit tight Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006

Good point bigbo, at 5 to 1 on price, will have to look at those.
