What to do with a vastly altered classic

My dad had an old classic 2 door back in the 70’s. At some stage he fitted a 4 door body and fitted EFI engine.

Now how much in reality of the original is left is anyone’s guess. DVLA were fully informed of the changes at the time according to copy letters I have found and the V5.

Unfortunately dad passed away in October and I’m faced with clearing his car collection, 7 garages and 3 sheds full of stuff.

Car was being used up until around Feb last year and was being used on MOT exemption basis and classic tax rates.

What would you estimate he value, was thinking around £3-£5k

Thanks

I would think it is worth more than that

Free tax and MOT exempt is a huge selling point...

Being an early log book is worth a lot as well...

Your in no rush and it's always easy to reduce a price, start at £10,000 and see what happens... if you want it gone quick just lower it by £100 each day till it goes, used this before and you always get more than you think you will... make sure you put on the add that it will get reduced by £100 each day till sold and someone will jump in as they don't want to lose it.... Thumbs Up Pete

Like a reverse auction 🤣 like it.

Agree with Pete, think it’s worth more than what you are thinking…. What exactly though, no idea….. it’s a rare manual also…. at least with that later engine.

Sometimes miss my Classic.

Ok nice to think that high.

Need to start clearing the cars and all the garage stuff so will see if I can start at £8k might get some quick interest.

Managed to sell two Range Rover sports but his Jaguar collection will take sometime to find the right buyers.
