Does the satnav on my 2014 4.4 Autobiography receive automatic updates?

Thank you

either way you go, its worth remembering that when you fire it up you may show no map. that is normal and will rectify itself once the car has fully shut sown and stood for an hour.

scared the Censored out of me when I updated mine, only to have the thought I may have banjaxed it. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

It seems LR are only offering a Q3/2019 update, and on the ones I have seen listed as 2021 non gen versions they all say " most up to date HDD maps available" So probably a renamed LR rip.

Shame, as I want to update my maps, but don't really want to purchase something that is close to 2 years out of date. Is it possible to get something more recent than above on a non gen product?

I would hazard a guess that nowadays it’s all about online micro updates in different formats. Besides with Apple CarPlay it’s always up-to-date Wink

I smile seeing the updates come in over the air from the manufacturer. It’s as good as pointless as I use Apples way more up-to-date version thank you very much

you could go to a stand alone sat nav using the igo primo software which is more up to date and easily updatable..

this is my £40 7 inch chinese sat nav mounted on the vent, the rest is just overkill so ignore those,

Out of interest; why use something as ugly as an iGo (or TomTom, Garmin etc) when you could either integrate with CarPlay or Auto, or even just use a mobile phone?

I appreciate we are all different, but something so obvious I really don’t get why to use external screens in a nice car like a Range Rover that has already got the screens.
