RIP I’ve always like his style, and loved his unashamed support for his wife. And naturally the duke of Edinburgh award scheme.

What a great man. Said it as it was, not always PC enough for the modern world (more of an age/era thing IMHO), a good man who gave up his amazing career for his wife and Great Britain.

RIP, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, Philip.

(No doubt your grand-daughter in-law will try to upstage your death in some way, let's hope the British press don't fall for it and just ignore any storys or antics from LA). 1992 RR Classic 3.9 efi Vogue

Agree 100%. He did make a few gaffs in his life, but that proved he was human like the rest of us. RIP Phil, we will miss you, true gent Bow down SDV8 AB MY 2019

A sad loss.

Although not everyone's cup of tea, I liked his style of not being afraid to say what he thought, even if it did create a few waves on occasion Whistle

I met him twice as a youth! As a sea cadet on guard duty... Great memories...

"Don't make um like him anymore!!!"

I loved seeing some of the old footage today how even the queen was a acknowledging his “lack of opinions”. It shows a great sense of humor and affection between them.

Yes he said a few things that the woke brigade gets upset by. But I don’t think he was a bad person nor had any malicious intend.

My daughters switched off from tiktok today as the hatred on there was rather vile. Just demonstrates to me that many people really don’t get it.

I hope the Queen is ok, must be so hard for her.

RIP, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, Philip.

This time they definitely did break the mould, very sad.

My daughter said the same as Blackdog's daughters, truly horrible vile content on tik tok etc. Sadly it seems that more people today have no morals, standards or values unlike HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.

Me too!

I think he was an amasing man who was grossly undervalued by many.

He wasn't scared to say it how it was and had a wicked sense of humour...

Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Only Prince Philip, what a legend! Always had a big smile on his face when he said this type of 'tongue in cheek' stuff I recall. 1992 RR Classic 3.9 efi Vogue

Funny that his sisters mostly married German Princes who fought on the German side during the war (one was a member of the NSDAP, another a member of the SS), yet his mother rescued Jews from the Nazi's in Greece.
