Dogs are great, love them.... These are big old things though, so do need the space. See photo below:

They are gorgeous and I’m sure love living the dream 👍

We’ve only got one Lab (black of course 🤣) and he is very tall and at good weight (for a Lab) at just 28Kg which requires a lot of effort. But yours dwarf him 🤣

A Black Lab at 28kg sounds like a wise and sensible choice Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I’m certain I saw reference to a Royal Household car which had them removed and blanked (but how it got onto the fleet with them in the first place, I’m not sure).

Thanks Philip........ Think I'm going to get them removed at time of build.

Isn't it funny how things change, at one time, to have screens in the back of your car was the ultimate, now it seems nobody wants them.

I've never bothered with fitted ones, they go out of date quickly, or did so in the past. However with the invention of high def screens and better connectivity they are becoming more useful I suppose. Im not sure what you can play on the new versions, but I hazard a guess it may require some putting of content onto flash drives etc.

Personally when choosing a car having no RSE wouldn't put me off, my kids are bigger and have iPads and phones to entertain them. I can't envisage the dogs watching them so probably best ditched. Maybe they could give them to you in a box in the boot as they are an NCO on that level of car IIRC and then you have them when you sell..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks northern monkey jones - I would have them fitted at time of build and remove them following delivery, but I'm not sure what the plate / fixings behind them will look like once removed. Does anybody know?

It was the car Prince Philip drove the Obamas in.

Yep, and you can see the blanked off plate where the screens would be, so I guess it's not that difficult.

I see they also added the "standard" Queen's grab handle Thumbs Up

I wouldn't mind one of those Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

So it does look like the screen can be removed and left with a tidy plate cover, in that case, I'll leave the screens on the build. I'm going to try and get over to the dealers tomorrow and see if a Technician there can clarify

I'd like to say I have some contacts with "The Firm" but to be honest, once Philip advised it was the "Obama" car I just googled "Prince Philip driving Obama" and there it was........simples...... Very Happy 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography
