Central locking issue L322 2004

I had a L322 for gearbox work and a friend may have disconnected the negative terminal of the battery within15min after last opening of a door.

After reconnecting the battery I noticed the car would not lock/unlock by fob... the boot button on the fob worked though.

Owner drove car for few days, said the boot button lost function too

Allso discovered the cruisecontroll did not work anymore... and the unlocm button on the dash does nothing

So...yesterday i went to the car with my lynx and deleted a lot of errors in various ecu. Still the key woild only operate the bootlock, even after trying to re-learn it to the car.

When I go to BCU live data and selectckey buttons, the ke shows pressing of each button on lynx and after first krypress lynx shows it is key 1

Tried disconnecting the battery half an hour after leaving it with all doors closed and bonnet open, and after disconnecting holding both leads to eachother for 5 to 10 sec, but no change

Any ideas?

Don’t really know the answer to this one but just out of interest, does the central locking still all work if you use the key in the drivers door lock barrel?
Otherwise, could the fuses in the various faulty systems have blown if they were all working fine before the battery was disconnected? 2012 Westminster TDV8 4.4 Indus Silver

If you turn key in door once, driversdoor opens, turn it to open a second time all other doors and fuelflap unlock

So it seems like that part of the system is okay then, but something is not allowing communication from the remote side of things doesn’t it?
Seem to think the central locking is controlled through the BCM but that wouldn’t explain the cruise control problem as I think it is handled through the engine management ecu?
Sure if I’m wrong someone will jump in and correct me. 2012 Westminster TDV8 4.4 Indus Silver

The weird thing is that i can see it recognise the signals with diagnostics ( recognise each press on the button as the right button and as key 1) and that the boot unlock is functioning.

Is remote and button on the dash operating of the doors differently "organised" than operating the doors by driversdoor barrel?

Did you re sync the key? Perhaps this would help...

As the car reads what key and which button i press ( when reading key activity with Lynx) and the key does work on the tailgate... I assumed the key was synced ( we had tried resync anyway but made no difference)

Owner went to dealer... they said it needed a new key at 277 euro plus vat and charged 70 euro diagnostics.

We had found last week that my Lynx did not see any faults left, but the owners GAP tool showed in BCU a fault which could not be removed "bcu in transport mode"

After some playing with the GAP, and advise from a friend that drives L322 too and uses GAP, the owner found a setting where he could get the transportmode switched off...

And happy with the results.... all doors open and lock on the press on the fob again, the switch on the dash functions again and allso cruisecontroll workt again.
