Varying odd shades of privacy glass?

I've just ordered a new L405 5.0 SC LWB AB and notice that the shades of privacy glass on the rear section of the car are different, with the back boot section being almost black and the rear seats being more of a brown colour, which looks a bit odd. Has this always been the case? I don't remember it on my last 2016/66 model?

Also, I'm wondering, should I order it without privacy glass and have it all done myself privately, so it all looks uniform - Has anyone else done this, or is there an important reason behind this shading?

Thanks for that Stan - OK, so it's seems pretty standard. I either live with it, or I pay to have it done all the same shade elsewhere following delivery

I have been paying attention to ours to try and grab a picture, and since reading this thread I haven't had the right light conditions to notice it! It most lights it looks just like above which is most of the time.

Thanks,

Actually they haven't banned tinted windows entirely at all. And it has nothing to go with 'gangster' don't be daft. And just because you may not like it, why would it be a good think to be banned for everyone else? Surely it is good to have choice.

But on topic, it seems to be related to the various types of glass that may or may not be available in a specific model. And reflections can naturally also play a role.

Mine is a 19MY and has a Pinky/Brown coloured tinge on the Back Doors/Quarterlight.

Seems like its luck of the draw.

Looks dark black most of the time, but under the right light you can see the red hue. Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

All JLR products with factory tinted & double glazing are out of color! It's the laminated (plastic inner layer) that simply doesn't work... It's an industry-wide issue...
