Originally, my RR was equipped with the LR008766:


But when I bought it, it was on a silver variant of VPLMW0061:


which are quite beat up now. I also had to replace them with the 19" LR013925 temporarily as the tyres on the 20" started delaminating (the car was shaking when driving at speeds between 15km/h-80km/h and having replaced/reconditioned most of the suspension I finally figured it was the tyres).

I'm now considering buying a set of new rims and I'm trying to choose between the original LR008766 and the dark grey variant of VPLMW0061, which I rather like (pictured below):


The advantages of the VPLMW0061 are: 1) weight - 16kg vs. 40kg LR008766; 2) price - £120 vs. £420 for LR008766.

However, it's those advantages that concern me - my worry is they might be not as tough as LR008766.

I would appreciate if anyone could share their experience with any of these rims and thoughts on the matter as well.

Are those 6 spoke wheels genuine?

I can't see a 20" alloy weighing 40kg really.

Agreed. And it doesn't. According to LR it weighs 18Kg. The VPLM0061 is actually 170grams heavier

My favourite wheel on a 322. Nice though the 5 spokes are I’ve always liked the Vspoke.

Had them in smoked chrome/anthracite on my old 322.

 There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Do you not get used wheels come available, dont think I would buy new wheels

I like the 0061's ..... and not so many about (was going to say not as common - but that could be taken 2 ways LOL).

At the end of the day it's your car and your choice - which wheel design will make your FF feel most special?

These are mine, the dealer had just refurbed them when I bought the FF, said it cost him £300.
 Anything can be made to work if you fiddle with it long enough (and have deep pockets|)

0061 for me all day long, a nice wheel and easy too clean and the diamond cut gives them a nice touch.

I'm particularly fond of the 0061's too....

I recently had mine refurbished, I toyed with having them finished in the anthracite with the diamond cut detailing, but in the end I opted for just having the whole thing painted in silver... Diamond cut finish is an utter nightmare imho, I've had a few cars over the years that have had wheels finished this way and they all suffer horrendously with 'white worm' corrosion...
