Shiny metal gear surround reflects the sun…

I forgot how much it bugged me in my last FF, my RRS and also in my Jag… It seems that I am plagued by this shiny piece of metal on the centre console designed solely to reflect the sun under my sunglasses and into my eyes!

Ive driven with my arm at silly angles, place my hat, and even changed my route home in a bid to shield the sun from my overly sensitive eyes!!!

Does anyone else have this issue? Can we replace that damned piece of shinnyness? Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

Past rides:
2014 Audi Q7 3.0d (good riddance)
2010 L322 Autobiography 5.0 Supercharged
2011 L320 HSE 3.0 sdv6
2014 Jaguar XF-RS 5.0 supercharged
2007 BMW 535D
2005 Mini Cooper S

Get a new cover from Ebay, £30, spray paint to colour / finish of your choice. and change over, should be quite simple to change. Bit of a phaffing around but not too expensive to do, but would solve your problem.
Cannot see alternative ones, but they may be around somewhere.

Well a quick search brings one result…
But it comes in various finishes!

On which day of the week do you get sun? Can you just not drive on that day? 😀 Ron B. VK2OTC
