My New 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

Picked her up last week, 2012 Westminster 4.4 TDV8, 41,000 Miles. 1 Previous Owner. Totally impressed. I had a 4.2 S/C L322 six years ago. My first post since then. Have driven a few hundred miles so far, and have to say its amazing. I have it booked in at Marrion 4x4 in a few weeks, want to get it checked over. I will be detailing in the coming weeks, if it stops raining. Any advice on what to keep an eye on or get the specialist to check on would be appreciated.

My Current list of works schedule:

Full Service & General check by specialist
Full Paint correction
Interior Detailing

Nice looking car! Thumbs Up

Watch out for oil in the coolant or sitting in the Vee by the oil cooler......easy enough fix if you know the right end of a screwdriver.

Also watch for the dreaded starter click-only, again a relatively easy fix!

Enjoy!

Mike

Add a proper gearbox Megaflush to the list. LR say sealed for life, ZF say change it.
Change it. Get hold of Ian Bodsworth and he'll do it on your drive. He did mine and it's piece of mind! No issues before, no issies after = preventative maintenance. He's done loads over the years
Some folks complain about a Megaflush but they usually have an issue and think it will fix it Rolling Eyes

Wow! Very jealous of the low mileage and history - what a find!

DrRob - can I be vulgar and ask how much a Megaflush is roughly please? I don't want to go ringing people up out of the blue and then have to back out! 2012 L322 TDV8 Vogue SE: Buckingham Blue

That's a nice looking Westie, and an incredible find at that low mileage Thumbs Up

My L405 AB is fantastic and I don't regret buying it one bit, but I have very fond memories of my Westie as it was my first FFRR Very Happy Very Happy

Hope you're having lots of fun in it. Even after 4 years my Westie still put a grin on my face Laughing Laughing 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

Cheers Rob much appreciated, would have loved a L405. One day when I can afford it, would love to own one. Hopefully continue to work hard, and save. Thanks for your comments

Usually a few hundred quid but worth every penny. For us down south there are other options e.g. AJ Land Rover nr Alton or Darftord Transmissions and Autocare but obviously you’ll need to travel to them. Bodsy comes to you Thumbs Up

Bodsy doing mine with a fellow forum member looking on
